This trip is a joint mission effort of Bethlehem Christian Academy and The Nations Initiative. As a result, it will have two teams operating at the same time in Burundi.
All team members should be prepared to share the story of what God has done in their lives both with the team and in relational contexts.
Selected members will be asked to lead morning devotionals to encourage the team and turn hearts to the Lord.
The $100 Application fee will be directly used to secure airline tickets. It is included in the overall cost of the trip and will be applied once received.
NOTE: The cost on this trip is based on a 15 member team. If we are able to increase the number of people serving on the team, we may be able to reduce this cost.
- One team will be holding a pastor training event hosted by The Nations Initiative.
- The other team will be serving students at a Bethlehem Christian Academy location.

Background Check Consent Form Required
Because of the nature of the work we are doing it is likely that every team member will be working with or around children on this mission trip; therefore, we require all team members to complete a criminal background check.
Parental Consent Form for Minors
If you are participating in this trip and you are a minor who will not be attended by your parent or legal guardian, we require that this form be completed and submitted to our team.
Requirements
Prerequisites
- All participants must have a valid passport, not expiring within six months of the final date of the trip.
Responsibilities
- TNI Trainers will be responsible to teach a portion of the TNI module curriculum and will likely have opportunities to evangelize and/or preach
- BCA Team will be responsible for VBS, Sports Camps, Discipleship Training, Work Projects, and/or Various Other service opportunities
Restrictions
- Application must be approved by TNI/BCA.
Preparation
- Spiritual Preparation: Begin praying for those who you will minister to, for the team, and for your own heart in particular.
- Spiritual Preparation: Consider and write out your testimony. Remember that you will be working through translators, so write it simple, direct, and clear.
- Spiritual Preparation: Do not expect that you will do in some other place what you are unwilling to do here... so start
- Physical Preparation: Packing lists and cultural information will come as the trip approaches.
